The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Atlanta United midfielder Yamil Asad for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct in the 83rd minute of Atlanta’s match against D.C. United on April 30. Asad will serve the suspension during Atlanta’s next match on Sunday, May 7 against New York City FC.
MLS also announced one-game suspensions for Real Salt Lake defender Chris Schuler and Portland Timbers midfielder Dairon Asprilla. Shuler was suspended and issued an undisclosed fine for serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 10th minute of Salt Lake’s match against Sporting Kansas City on April 29.
