Atlanta United today announced midfielder Matheus Rossetto has obtained his U.S. green card and no longer occupies an international spot on the club’s roster.
Rossetto, 24, joined Atlanta United Feb. 3, 2020 when the club acquired him from Brazil’s Athletico Paranaense. In his first season in MLS, Rossetto made 10 starts across 15 league appearances. He also made two substitute appearances in Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League play in the Quarterfinals against Club América.
With the exception of a short loan stint in 2016 with Ferroviaria, he spent his entire career with Athletico Paranaense, professionally debuting in the Campeonato Paranaense in 2015.
