ATL UTD 2 saw an away point slip away in the closing moments of the match as a stoppage-time penalty by Ilija Ilic gave Louisville City FC a 2-1 win at Slugger Field on Saturday night.
This had a similar start to the teams’ meeting in April as Cameron Lancaster opened the scoring in the 23rd minute to put Louisville ahead 1-0. But ATL UTD 2 pulled even in the 29th on a pretty goal from outside the 18 by Laurent Kissiedou.
Louisville had the better of the second half chances as they threatened to take the lead, but couldn’t convert as it remained 1-1 late into the match.
