Lionel Messi, one of the most decorated players in world football history, is headed to Major League Soccer, a watershed moment for the 27-year-old league.
Messi, in a joint interview with Spain’s Mundo Deportivo and Sport, revealed that he would join Inter Miami CF after 2 seasons with Paris Saint-Germain. While he hasn’t “closed on it one hundred percent”, all signs point to him headed to MLS in a matter of weeks.
Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas tweeted a photo of Messi’s iconic No. 10 jersey, indicating a move was imminent.
