Just when you thought Atlanta United would be quiet in the summer transfer window, Steven Goff of the Washington Post drops a bomb in our laps out of nowhere. Goff reported late Monday night that the Five Stripes are close to acquiring veteran center back Bobby Boswell from D.C. United.
The report states that it is not known what Atlanta would be sending to the nation’s capital in return for the defender, but that a draft pick is the likeliest compensation.
Boswell is a 34-year-old veteran of MLS playing in D.
