Frank de Boer steps down as Netherlands manager

The wild and adventurous managerial career of Frank de Boer took another eventful turn on Tuesday when it was announced that he stepped down from his post as Netherlands boss. The Dutch legend says goodbye to another managerial job after his side crashed out of EURO 2020 with an unceremonious 2-0 loss to the Czech Republic in the Round of 16.

Atlanta United’s second-ever manager was thrust into the spotlight when Ronald Koeman was lured away from a thriving Netherlands side by FC Barcelona. Stepping in as an emergency replacement in September of 2020, De Boer lead the Oranje to the Euros despite some rocky form.
