Not only was it the club’s first loss to a local rival, but it cemented the stark reality the club faces. Atlanta has now lost to every opponent it’s played this season not named FC Cincinnati or Nashville SC, and Saturday’s result against an Orlando team playing on short rest and having traveled the day of the game is a scary indication of just how vast the gulf is between Atlanta and the top teams in the league.
