Atlanta United will learn their opponent for the 2021 Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 today as the draw for the knockout stages of the competition will take place. The Five Stripes were awarded their spot in this year’s tournament due to being the reigning U.S. Open Cup champions after the competition was cancelled in 2020.
They join fellow MLS sides Columbus Crew, Philadelphia Union, Portland Timbers, and Toronto FC (assuming they win the Canadian Championship vs. Forge FC) in Pot 1 of the draw.
