July 10th, 2015 is the last time Greg Garza played for the United States men’s national team. During that year he was having an incredible run of form with Club Tijuana and many expected him to take the USMNT left back job and run with it. Unfortunately, soon after that day he picked up a severe hip injury as missed almost a year.
He’s back to playing now, but after two matches with Tijuana they benched him and decided to loan him out to Atlanta United. This has some fans wondering if he’s okay and physically fit. USMNT head coach Bruce Arena alleviated those concerns this week as he praised Garza’s fitness and ability during the current January camp.
