Atlanta United’s roster turnover continues as the club announced on Tuesday that it has waived striker Adam Jahn.
Jahn, 30, scored three goals and added two assists for the Five Stripes after joining the team as a USL signing in 2020. He saw his role unexpectedly increase after Josef Martinez went down with a season-ending injury in the first league match of the season.
During his 21 appearances, Jahn did an adequate job of filling in the massive gap left by the former MVP’s absence. With the acquisition of veteran striker Lisandro Lopez, it appears that a player of Jahn’s mold is no longer required on the roster.
