The playoffs are finally upon us. This time last season Atlanta United embarked on a journey that ended with Michael Parkhurst lifting MLS Cup in front of 70,000 people at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The New England Revolution are the first obstacle in the way of that happening again.
These two teams met just a few weeks ago in the regular season finale with the Five Stripes coming out on top 3-1. Now they play again with the stakes and pressure raised immensely.
Unlike last season, this year’s playoff format leaves no room for error.
