Atlanta United announced on Tuesday that they’ve signed free agent Sal Zizzo to a contract.
Zizzo, 30, started his pro career in the Bundesliga with Hannover 96 before making his way to MLS to play for four different clubs over eight seasons. Most recently, he played for the New York Red Bulls where he spent three seasons and recorded six assists as a utility player.
“We know Sal had options this offseason and we’re happy he has chosen to sign with our club,” Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra said.
