Atlanta United announced today that it has signed United States international Emerson Hyndman from the Premier League’s Bournemouth FC.
Hyndman, 23, is a central midfielder who has plied his trade in England and Scotland. He graduated from Fulham’s academy and made 25 appearances in the Championship over two seasons at the club. When his contract expired, he signed with Bournemouth in the Premier League, but failed to break into the first team during his tenure, making only two Premier League appearances. He spent seasons at Rangers and Hibernian in the Scottish Premier League on loan.
Hyndman is a technician in midfield, making up for his lack of size with good first touch and close control.
