Atlanta United sign goalkeeper Brendan Moore

Atlanta United announced on Wednesday that it has signed goalkeeper Brendan Moore. The 26-year-old shotstopper has spent the majority of his career in the lower leagues of England, with stops at Fleetwood Town, Torquay United, and most recently Rochdale. Moore went to high school at Centennial High in Roswell.

Moore becomes the third goalkeeper on the roster, joining perennial starter Brad Guzan and back-up Alec Kann. Mitch Hildebrandt had his contract option declined by the club at the beginning of the offseason.

“Brendan is a talented young goalkeeper with a bright future and we’re pleased to have added him to our roster,” Atlanta United Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra said.
