Atlanta United announced today it has acquired defender Bobby Boswell from D.C. United in exchange for a 3rd Round Draft Pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.
Boswell, 34, has 365 career MLS appearances and 360 starts between two stints with D.C. United and Houston Dynamo. In his 12-year career, Boswell has only missed MLS Cup Playoffs one time. He’s a two-time MLS Best XI selection (2006 and 2014), two-time Supporters’ Shield winner (2006 and 2007) and was the 2006 MLS Defender of the Year. He’s also appeared in two MLS Cups with Houston in 2011 and 2012. Internationally, Boswell has made three appearances for the U.
