Somebody once said that 90 percent of life is just about showing up, and if there’s something to be said about Brooks Lennon in 2020, it’s that he stood up and was counted when Atlanta United needed him.
Lennon was Atlanta United’s only outfield player to appear in every single MLS match during a season where it’d be very easy to claim a bad back, a tweaked groin, or even just straight up fatigue during a brutal season. But Lennon didn’t do any of those things, and his record of appearances is an indication that he was giving both Frank de Boer and Stephen Glass reasons to choose him with his performances in training.
