Atlanta United’s winning streak had to end at some point, it’s just a shame that it had to happen Saturday to Nashville SC in new head coach Gonzalo Pineda’s first match in charge. To be fair, it was a clinical performance from Nashville, who stayed organized the entire game and didn’t allow a single clear cut chance to the Five Stripes. It’s the reason why Nashville has lost only twice all season, making them the toughest team to beat in MLS.
There were *some promising signs for Atlanta. Luiz Araujo glided past defenders at times but simply couldn’t find composure in front of goal.
