Andrew Carleton to play in 2017 MLS Homegrown Game vs. Chivas U-20’s

Another Atlanta United player is set to take part in Major League Soccer’s All-Star festivities in Chicago. After Greg Garza and Miguel Almiron were voted into the MLS All-Star Game by the fans, Andrew Carleton has been named to the league’s Homegrown team to play Chivas de Guadalajara’s under-20 team a day before the big one against Real Madrid.

The 17-year-old from Powder Springs is the first Homegrown Player in Atlanta United’s history and has been a fixture for the United States under-17 national team. He joins a who’s who of MLS HGP’s to take on one of Liga MX’s best developmental systems.
