Atlanta United 2 midfielder Aiden McFadden was today given the nod as the USL Championship’s Player of the Week. This came as no real surprise — McFadden scored a brace of braces this week, putting 2 past FC Tulsa’s Sean Lewis in a 5-0 thumping and then both Atlanta United 2 goals past Memphis 901’s John Berner, including a stoppage time score to salvage a draw.
McFadden’s four goals in a total of 5 games (his entire professional career to date) put him in a 4-way tie for second in the Championship behind Santiago Patiño of San Antonio, who maintained his Golden Boot lead with an early score against Birmingham Legion last Saturday.
