Atlanta United’s inaugural season was a massive success, and to ensure that success will continue for years to come, the club announced in November of last year that a USL side would begin play in the 2018 season.
Apart from providing another team for local fans to support, Atlanta United 2 promises to be a proving ground for young talent looking to play meaningful minutes with the senior team in the future, like homegrowns George Bello and Lagos Kunga, who both scored their first professional goals against the Charlotte Independence last weekend.
