Reshanda Gray turned in a career-best performance as the Atlanta Dream closed out the first half of the WNBA season with a 93-88 win over the Dallas Wings.
The Dream used a 19-5 run in the third quarter to turn a two point deficit into a 10 point advantage heading to the fourth. The Wings came roaring back but Angel McCoughtry scored five straight points to put Atlanta up 88-83 with 1:16 remaining. Layshia Clarendon closed things out with five straight free throws in the final 23 seconds of the game to seal the victory.
“I thought it was a very good basketball game especially after we had a struggle up in Minnesota,” Dream head coach Michael Cooper told reporters after the game.
