There were a lot of dramatic takeaways from Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. LeBron James had his 12th playoff triple double, which put him in rare company, second all time. James also passed Karl Malone for 6th all-time on the playoff scoring list.
No match for that sort of individual greatness, the Atlanta Hawks team play was motivated, aggressive and committed even as they made mistakes, went through scoring droughts and couldn’t grab a rebound to save their life. But Jeff Teague had 30 points and took the game over late in the 4th quarter.
