Tiago Splitter to miss preseason opener with hamstring issue

The Atlanta Hawks were already set to be without both All-Star forward Paul Millsap and reserve point guard Jarrett Jack for Thursday’s preseason opener against the Memphis Grizzlies. Now, it appears that Mike Budenholzer and the coaching staff will be working from an even more limited roster, as Tiago Splitter will also be absent from the proceedings.

The Hawks have announced that Tiago Splitter (right hamstring strain) is OUT for Thursday's exhibition at the Grizzlies.

It is a bit strange to see Splitter out of the lineup due to a hamstring ailment, especially because Chris Vivlamore also notes that he was able to practice on Wednesday.
