This season, the 29-22 Southeast Division-leading Atlanta Hawks used three fortuitous meetings with the woebegone Philadelphia 76ers to “right the ship” as they say.
After previous romps of Philadelphia had snapped respective two and three-game losing skids, Tuesday’s meeting saw Atlanta win for just the second time in the team’s past five outings.
It’s a shame the Hawks only play Philadelphia three times on the year.
After opening the game on an 8-2 run, the particulars of Atlanta’s runaway razing of the 76ers are pretty basic. The Hawks would enter the half with a commanding 58-42 lead.
