Thabo Sefolosha announced on ESPN Monday that he plans to file a civil suit against the New York Police Department.
Thabo Sefolosha made it official on Monday when he announced his intentions to sue the New York Police Department in an interview with ESPN's Hannah Storm. Sefolosha is seeking $50 million in damages citing that he has still not fully recovered from the injuries he suffered in last April's arrest. He missed the remainder of the 2015 season with a broken fibula, but also suffered ligament damage in the leg.
"There's a lot of unknown about how this will affect me two years from now, five years from now, 10 years from now," Sefolosha said.
