Despite the Hawks’ 6-21 start, Trae Young’s sophomore campaign is off to a blazing start.
So far Young has posted 12 games with at least 30 points and 10 assists, surpassing LeBron James’ efforts at age 21. (Young had his 13th game with 30 points — with just seven assists — in the Hawks’ loss to the Lakers Sunday in Atlanta.)
Young turns 22 in September.
As a rookie, Young shot 41.8% from the field and 32.4% from 3-point range. So far this year he’s hitting 44.3% from the field, 36.8% from beyond the arc.
