To this point, there has only been one significant transaction involving the Hawks this offseason: the swapping of Dejounte Murray for Dyson Daniels, Larry Nance Jr., E.J. Liddell, and Cody Zeller. However, other minor moves have been made elsewhere.
Earlier in June, the team opted to retain Garrison Mathews by picking up his team option for 2024-25. His salary this season is still unguaranteed, but he’ll get paid a prorated $2.2 million for as long as he is on the roster up to a guarantee date next January. Also, on the second day of the 2024 NBA Draft, the team parted with AJ Griffin for a pick that became Nikola Djurisic, who has since joined the 2024 Atlanta Hawks Summer League team in Las Vegas.
