Head of physical performance and sports medicine for the Golden State Warriors Chelsea Lane is leaving the Bay Area for Atlanta, according to a report Tuesday by The Athletic’s Marcus Thompson.
The first woman to be head of an NBA training staff, Lane will become the executive director of athletic performance and sports medicine for the Atlanta Hawks, Thompson reported.
Neither the Warriors or Hawks have confirmed the move as of Tuesday afternoon.
Lane follows former Warriors assistant general manager and current Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk who joined the Hawks organization after the Warriors’ 2017 championship.
