Williams, a Gwinnett County native, was traded along with two second-round picks to Atlanta from the Los Angeles Clippers for Rajon Rondo in a deadline deal in late March. Williams provided veteran leadership in the locker room, and at times steadying play in the backcourt in the absence of Trae Young, including in Games 4 and 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
