The weird week of roster moves continues for the Atlanta Hawks. Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has reported that the Hawks have waived Lamar Patterson. The move comes just days after Atlanta signed Patterson to a multi-year deal.
According to the report, the team and Patterson agreed to a release so that he could address a personal matter. The personal matter was not disclosed, but Vivlamore did provide this small bit of information.
According to a personal familiar with the situation, Patterson “will be fine.”
Patterson spent most of the 2015-16 season with Atlanta, playing in 35 games.
