The Atlanta Hawks have made their first move in adding to the Summer League roster.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore, the Hawks have agreed to a contract with former Michigan State forward Matt Costello. Costello played four years at Michigan State, and averaged 6.0 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, and 0.8 assists per game.
Costello averaged 10.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in his senior season with the Spartans. Costello is a tweener who isn't quick big enough to play center in the NBA, and not quick enough to guard the likes of Blake Griffin and Anthony Davis, but last time we heard a similar evaluation of a Michigan State big, Draymond Green turned out alright.
