Reddish won’t play for Hawks in summer league

Cam Reddish will not compete for the Hawks in the Las Vegas Summer League as the No. 10 overall pick in the NBA draft continues to recover from a core muscle surgery.

Reddish visited the Hawks last week in advance of the draft and was examined by Hawks doctors, according to general manager Travis Schlenk.

“I don’t think he will quite be ready for summer league,” Schlenk said. “They said it was a six to eight week process (to recover from the surgery). We are four weeks into that. He probably won’t get on the court until the end of July.
