The Atlanta Hawks took on the New York Knicks on Sunday afternoon in a battle between two of the Eastern Conference’s worst teams.
The first quarter was rough for Atlanta, scoring just 20 while giving up 31 to one of more substandard offenses in the league. Atlanta shot just 31% in the first quarters, making it one of their worst offensively in a while.
While they corrected course a bit in that regard in the 2nd quarter, and still were not good at all defensively. They allowed 32 in the 2nd to the Knicks.
They did (pretty quickly) overcome a 15-point deficit, turning that into a double-digit lead of their own in about a quarter’s length.
