There is a school of thought that the Atlanta Hawks could be looking to add another backup point guard option in the 2017 NBA Draft. The team does have Malcolm Delaney under contract for the 2017-2018 season but, with Jose Calderon hitting free agency, there is a spot “available” and the Hawks hold two second round picks (No. 31 and No. 60) that could be useful in that regard.
Former Kansas All-American point guard Frank Mason profiles as a potential candidate and, according to Mason’s Instagram page, it appears that he is in Atlanta for a workout with the Hawks on Friday.
