The Atlanta Hawks added Wake Forest big man John Collins, Oregon guard Tyler Dorsey and French big man Alpha Kaba during the 2017 NBA Draft. While there are certainly questions (as there are with the vast majority of picks) surrounding all three players, Chad Ford of ESPN grades Atlanta’s haul in a very positive fashion.

The team’s overall grade was a B+ in Ford’s mind and he had this to say about Collins:

The Hawks got value with Collins at 19, as we projected him to go several picks higher. Concerns about his short wingspan and ability to stretch the floor hurt his draft stock a bit.
