ESPN’s Marc Stein reported earlier today that the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, and Detroit Pistons are all prepared to make a run for unrestricted free agent Al Horford when July 1 comes.
The four-time NBA All-Star is coming off a solid 2015-16 season where he averaged 15.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. Horford has been an Atlanta Hawk ever since they drafted him with the third overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. There is still a possibility that he re-signs with Atlanta, but other teams that offer a change of scenery and a realistic chance of contending could easily sway him in a different direction.
