Newly acquired Mike Dunleavy is seeking a buyout from the Atlanta Hawks according to a report by ESPN.com’s Marc Stein and Marc J. Spears. The Hawks acquired Dunleavy from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Kyle Korver but he has yet to report to his new team.
Sources told ESPN.com that Dunleavy is seeking a buyout from the Hawks that would enable him to immediately become a free agent.
Atlanta initially looked for a third team to offload Dunleavy in the trade but is now reportedly interested in keeping him to see how he fits with the rest of the roster.
