Malcolm Delaney could be the best move the Hawks have made this summer.
The Atlanta Hawks have prided themselves over the last few years under Mike Budenholzer at discovering and developing under the radar talent. DeMarre Carroll, Kent Bazemore are the two biggest examples with Tim Hardaway Jr. hoping to take a sizable leap in his second year with the team.
Atlanta’s newest addition, guard Malcolm Delaney, may belong on that list as well. ESPN.com’s Kevin Pelton calls Delaney an “average or slightly better back up point guard.”
Based on my Euroleague translations, Delaney projects as an average or slightly better backup point guard.
