Korver Undergoes Ankle Surgery, Mack Set For Shoulder Surgery

ATLANTA -- Atlanta Hawks guard/forward Kyle Korver had surgery this evening to repair ligament damage in his right ankle. The surgery was performed at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City by Dr. Martin O’ Malley.

Korver will now undergo a period of rest, treatment and rehabilitation. The expected recovery time is approximately three months.

Guard Shelvin Mack suffered a right shoulder injury with 2:01 remaining in the fourth quarter of last night’s game at Cleveland. An examination following the game suggested a separated right shoulder. Follow-up X-rays and an examination at the Peachtree Orthopaedic Clinic today confirmed the diagnosis of a separated shoulder.
