Rookie guard Kevin Huerter is already entrenched in the rotation for the Atlanta Hawks and the former Maryland standout is showing plenty of flashes of the talent that made him a 2018 first round pick. Unfortunately, the 20-year-old wing was forced to exit Thursday’s game against the Sacramento Kings early, after he suffered what the team described as a right lateral ankle sprain.
Huerter collided with Kings guard Buddy Hield in the first quarter, as the pair was pursuing a loose ball. Immediately, it was clear that Hield’s actions were less than spectacular.
Here’s a great example of misplaced aggression where coaches tell players to dive on the floor needlessly.
