Heart. Soul. Passion for the game. You would be hard-pressed to find another player in the league that exemplifies these three qualities in greater abundance than 5th-year guard Kent Bazemore.
The spindly, 6-foot-5 forward/guard has evolved from energetic, towel-waving hype-man, to ultra-efficient on court engine: while posting career-best numbers across the board. Bazemore has increased his modest 2014-2015 averages of 5.2 points, three rebounds and one assist to a surprising 13.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals -all career highs- this season.
The framework for Bazemore’s staggering surge in on-court production was laid in the off-season, as the ODU grad put in a yeoman’s effort to become a truly proficient outside shooter.
