Atlanta wasted no time tonight, building an early 7-0 then 12-3 lead. Kevin Huerter seemed determined to show that he was snubbed for the Rising Stars Game, draining three threes in the early going. An 8-0 run from Dallas quickly got them back into it, and they took the lead not too long after.
Later on the in the first quarter, Cam Reddish had to exit the game, heading to the locker room after taking an elbow to the face. He did not return. This came with the Hawks already being short-handed, as De’Andre Hunter, DeAndre’ Bembry, Bruno Fernando, and Alex Len all missed the game.
