In the wake of George Floyd’s death, Renee Montgomery watched as some people started to ask how they could help bring forth social justice and further equality.
That response, and receptiveness to change, is part of why the Atlanta Dream guard decided to opt out of the upcoming WNBA season.
“I just feel like there’s a moment right now that I want to capitalize on in the sense of a lot of people want better, a lot of companies are like ‘How can we help?’” Montgomery said. “A lot of people are like ‘OK, what can we do?
