It didn’t take long for that to become official u2060— Monday afternoon, the Hawks announced that the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections approved the Hawks’ home arena for upcoming 2020 elections, beginning with early voting July 20 for Georgia’s primary runoff election on Aug. 11.
State Farm Arena is set to become Georgia’s largest-ever voting precinct.
When Pierce first discussed this issue, he pointed out the size of the arena would be helpful during this time of social distancing. Voter turnout and voting rights are one of the causes the Hawks chose to focus on after a company-wide discussion on race in early June.
