The Atlanta Hawks owned picks #50 and 59 overall in the draft and chose to use both on second round international prospects.
Atlanta drafted Swedish-born Marcus Eriksson at #50 and Greek product Dimitrios Agravanis at #59.
With a healthy supply of players under contract next season, the Hawks went the international route, securing the rights to two young players who will stay overseas at least one more season. Atlanta doesn't have an immediate need to fill a roster spot, making their second-round decisions very logical.
Both may have an opportunity to play for Atlanta in the Las Vegas Summer League.
