Rookie Trae Young had 23 points and eight assists but the Hawks lost to the Kings 135-113 in Sacramento Wednesday night.
The Hawks, beaten by the Kings 146-115 on Nov. 1, trailed by 29 at one point, committed 21 turnovers, and were outrebounded 53-36.
Young made four 3s and needs four to break the Hawks rookie record of 82 set by Salim Stoudamire in 2005-06. Kevin Huerter is close behind Young with 78.
John Collins scored 14 for the Hawks.
Rookie Harry Giles came off the bench and scored 12 of his season-high 20 points in the third quarter for Sacramento.
