Kyle Korver will give the commencement address for his alma mater Creighton University on Saturday. The NBA veteran, who spent four-plus seasons with the Hawks and currently plays for the Jazz, will receive an honorary Doctor of Human Letters and the ceremony.
Korver graduated from Creighton in 2003 with a degree in visual communications. His No. 25 was retired by the school.
According to the Associated Press, Korver will replace former Democratic Sen. Bob Kerrey. Creighton's president, the Rev. Daniel Hendrickson, announced earlier this month that Korver will speak at both ceremonies at the Jesuit college in Omaha.
