Dennis Schroder to play for Germany at Eurobasket 2017

According to a report from BBL Profis, Atlanta Hawks starting point guard Dennis Schroder is planning to play for Germany at Eurobasket 2017 later this summer. This does not come as a surprise.

Schroder most recently played for Germany during the preliminary rounds of Eurobasket 2015. During that tournament, Schroder averaged 15.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per night over six games.

The 2016-17 season was Schroder’s first as Atlanta’s starting point guard. Schroder had an up and down season, but it was mostly a success. He averaged 17.9 points and 6.3 assists per game on 45.
