Goodwin spent the first several months of the season on a two-way contract with the Hawks, splitting his time between Atlanta and the College Park Skyhawks of the G League. When it was clear the Hawks’ backup point guard situation needed addressing, Goodwin was brought up, taking over the backup role for a lengthy stretch in December and January prior to the trade for Jeff Teague.
