Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed honored the Atlanta Hawks for their record-breaking season at City Hall on Wednesday.
With True Believers packed into the atrium and surround upper levels, Reed took the stage with CEO Steve Koonin, Head Coach Mike Budenholzer, players Kyle Korver, Kent Bazemore and Mike Muscala, Hall-of-Famer and Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins, PA Announcer Ryan Cameron and current owners.
Reed presented the Phoenix Award, the City's highest honor, to the team for their accomplishments.
City Council President Ceasar Mitchell also issued a proclaimation naming June 3, 2015 as "Atlanta Hawks Day" in the city.
